Unexpected Blessings
COVID-19 has been the quiet after my personal storm. The last three years of living in Canada have been one of the biggest challenges of my adult life, due to an extraordinarily difficult marriage, despite the sweetness of birthing my beautiful baby boy five months after my arrival here.
It has been a new beginning for me. A time of letting go and enjoying the fruits of lessons learned from a stormy past. I have become wiser, kinder, and much clearer on who I truly am. It has been the gateway into a period that enabled me to slow down and enjoy the present moment as it unfolded.
Suddenly, being forced with juggling my start-up and a three-year-old, as a result of a closed daycare, my answer became crystal clear. I didn’t want to swim upstream feeling stressed and resentful. I knew it was time to go with the flow and surrender to life’s plan for me. What a blessing it has been to spend wonderful quality time with my son, especially after dreading the reality of joint custody.
Covid-19 has been kind to me, and gratitude lies in my heart for all the gifts I have received.
