In Winnipeg, The Shoe Project collaborates with a Steering Committee of 13 local organizations. Our program is made possible by effective community collaboration. Committee member Mosaic Newcomer Family Resource Network offers participants a complimentary meeting venue and free on-site childcare. In addition, Committee member Manitoba Museum will host the performance at their auditorium and exhibit the shoes at the museum.

Twelve women originally coming from Brazil, Mexico, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Ukraine, Ecuador, El Salvador, Congo, and DRC Congo are currently working with Writing Mentor Patlee Creary, immigrant to Canada herself. The women will take the stage on March 11, 2023, at 7 pm (CT) and March 12, 2023, at 2 pm (CT).
